I’m determined to make 2018 my year. 2017 wasn’t bad and I did accomplish a lot, but I’m ready to take on the world in 2018. Here are my 2018 goals, everything I’m hoping to accomplish in this new year.
I started off the year making a good amount of YouTube videos and I created even more over the summer. Once fall semester started, I really fell off the wagon and stopped posting on my channel completely. I also didn’t post on my blog every week like I said I was going to, until I did Blogmas. In 2018, I want to create more than I ever have before. I’m going to relaunch my YouTube channel in the next few weeks and I’m going to continue posting on my blog at least once a week.
In 2018, I’m ready to get in the best shape possible and be as fit as I can. I did pretty well this year with going to the gym and working out. I want to do even better in 2018 with doing workouts that make me stronger and fitter. In the new year, I also want to focus on drinking more water and eating better. These things will help me feel the best that I can. Going into my last year and a half of college, I want to have a strong foundation of being fit and eating well to continue after graduation.
This year I want to learn more. By learn more, I don’t mean by what I learn in the classroom but more than that. I want to read more books, at least one a month. Reading has always been one of my favorite things and there’s so much I can learn from a book. I want to listen to podcasts or TedTalks to learn new things as well. In my first year and a half of college I learned German, but I’ve already forgotten a lot of it. I want to start using Duolingo in order to brush up on my German and be able to understand a decent amount.
In 2017, I felt like I was going non-stop all the time. Between school, work, sorority, and more, there’s always something going on and always something that needs to be done. For 2018, I want to take some time everyday to slow down and reflect. I’m going to try and journal everyday in the new year to see how much I change from beginning to end and to keep track of all that I accomplish. In the new year, I also want to start to meditate. By meditating, I just want to take 5 minutes to close my eyes and breathe each day. I also want to start stretching and doing yoga for a few minutes everyday to slow down and to become more flexible.
Adventure more & strive for the best
My top goals for the new year are to adventure more and strive for the best. I want to adventure more because I feel like I spent most of the last year on campus. I was always doing school work, at meetings, or going to work. This year I want to get off campus, explore, and adventure more. I want to visit new places, try new things, and just spend more time off of campus. In 2018, I want to strive for the best. I want to accomplish as much as I can and work my hardest for what I want. I want to do everything I can to live my best life in 2018.
Those are all of my 2018 goals! Let me know what your goals are for 2018. We can accomplish our new year goals all together.
Here’s to the new year! – Kayla
