It’s Christmas Eve! I really can’t believe Christmas is almost here and Blogmas is pretty much over. For the second to last day of Blogmas, I decided to share my Christmas favorites, all the things I love about the holiday.
The Polar Express is by far my favorite Christmas movie. There are a lot of funny and other good Christmas movies, but nothing makes me feel the Christmas magic more than The Polar Express. My little brother has been obsessed with trains since he was born so we watch The Polar Express year round. There’s nothing better than waking up on Christmas, snuggling up on the couch, and opening presents while watching The Polar Express.
Every year on Christmas morning, my dad would make us cinnamon buns. My siblings and I would fight over who could eat the first one. Cinnamon buns and hot chocolate remind me so much of Christmas mornings, sitting around the tree, opening presents, and watching Christmas movies. The best Christmas breakfast is definitely cinnamon buns.
I couldn’t just pick one favorite Christmas songs so my two favorites are That’s Christmas To Me by Pentatonix and It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas by Johnny Mathis. It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas is a classic Christmas song and it always gets me in the Christmas spirit, even though I never see snow for Christmas. I chose That’s Christmas To Me because I feel like it really captures Christmas magic and it’s a newer song, not a Christmas classic.
The Pillsbury Christmas Cookies are my favorite Christmas treat, even though I really love all sweets. The reindeer, Christmas trees, and snowmen are so adorable and always get me excited for Christmas. For the last few years, I’ve made my boyfriend drive me to the store all the time to pick up some more because I can never have enough. I’ve probably eaten about 100 pounds of them by now but I’m not complaining.
I talked about my favorite Christmas tradition in my Christmas tag post, but my favorite things is when my whole family gets together on Christmas Eve at my aunt’s house. Every year we make our way to the city, sing lots of Christmas songs at church, and then all get together for dinner. I’m excited to spend time with my family tonight on Christmas Eve and open one present from my aunt like we always do.
Merry Blogmas! – Kayla
