This is the first post in a series I’m starting called My Latest Obsessions. In these posts, I will share some of my favorite things, places, activities, and more. Planning is my latest obsession and in this post, I will share more all about this new love of mine.
Since I was a kid, I’ve always been in love with organization and management. I loved going back to school because it meant new supplies and I tried to convince whoever I could to buy me journals. Actually, I still do this…
My latest obsession is planning, full on planning with stickers and everything. I’ve always used a planner to stay on top of things and get everything done that I need to, but now I’m in love with this style of planning with stickers, washi and beautiful handwriting.
To get me started, I bought a planner from Michael’s and invested in some sticker books and washi tape. This planner is from the Recollections Creative Year Collection. It’s considered a knockoff of the Erin Condren planner. The two planners are very similar but the Recollections planner is half the price, even less than that with a Michael’s coupon. I’m in love with the blue, green marble design and the gold lettering is such a nice touch.
I got two sticker books from Michael’s to start out my planning. I got the Recollections Basics Sticker Book and The Happy Planner This Colorful Life Value Sticker Pack. The Recollections Sticker Book is a good collection of functional and deco stickers. I’ll use most of those stickers to add to weekly spreads, either kit spreads or no kit spreads. The Happy Planner Sticker Pack has sheets of mini kits that you could easily build a weekly spread around. On weeks I don’t have or want a full kit, I can easily use this pack to put together something cute and functional.
