This past weekend was a hot one in San Diego so I wanted to make the most of the weekend and have fun. I had a great weekend full of food, sun and mimosas.
My weekend started off early on Saturday morning. My boyfriend convinced my friends and me to wake up early and watch the World Cup game at 7 am. To make the early morning bearable, we watched the game at Broken Yolk Café and I got Nutella crepes and a mimosa.
It’s been absurdly hot in San Diego so we headed out to the beach after breakfast. It was already warm out even though we got there at 9 am. One of my goals this summer was to go to the beach more and I’ve definitely done that. I was perfectly content laying out in the sun with the waves crashing in the background. We decided to watch the next World Cup game too because my friend has been rooting for Croatia this whole World Cup. To watch the game, we went to Luigi’s by the Beach. They have pieces of pizza bigger than your face and their calzones are also amazing.
Pretty much all I did this weekend was eat food. On Sunday, it was my boyfriend’s sister’s birthday so we went to brunch with his family. We went to The Crossings at Carlsbad, which is an amazing buffet with bottomless mimosas. I ate more food than I could ever possibly imagine and I was full for the rest of the day.
That was my weekend full of lots of eating, two World Cup games and plenty of sun! I really enjoy doing these recap posts of my summer weekends and I hope you enjoy them too!
